UNICEF has created an excellent website and a visit is an absolute must.

10 year Convention on the Rights of the Child

To mark the 10th anniversary of the UN adoption of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, UNICEF has made a great deal of comprehensive information available on its site, including:

10 Jahre Kinderrechtskonvention
bulletDetails as to the creation and legal status of the convention;
bulletdetails on the content and meaning of its individual articles;
bulletexplanations as to why a special convention for children is necessary and useful;
bulletremarks on how things stand as far as implementation is concerned;
bulleta section on frequently asked questions (FAQ), which provides brief basic information on the convention and
bulleta comprehensive link list with comments on the subject of children's rights.

Voices of Youth

The UNICEF website also features a special section for children and young people, as well as boasting an accomplished youthful design: Voices of Youth. Children are encouraged to discover the convention in a playful way, and are also free to have their say and much more besides. This special section for children is a complete triumph and can also be enjoyed and used by children with only a basic grasp of English.
