Further study:
Developing a scenario

A
situation
is systematically enhanced in a scenario. The concern here is the potential
for action resulting from an initial scene. This needs to be systematically
developed and sketched out.
Scenarios anticipate potential future developments and describe the
conditions and the probability of these developments. What (principal)
potential actions exist in decisive situations. What other potential actions
result once decisions have been made.
The consequences of potential or actual decisions should be determined in
groups. The scenes need to be analyzed for all the complete set of
alternatives available. The aim here is to promote thinking in alternatives
and to foresee the consequences in all their facets.
Method: all potential actions are visualized on a large sheet of
paper or, even better, a roll of paper. The line of action is pursued here
until no further solutions are available. |
The second step involves sketching in probable actions and finding reasons
why these are probable. The closing scenes are clarified during the final
presentation and discussion.
Further study: questions are formulated for n the individual scenes and
additional information provided or opinions expressed. These are assigned to the
respective scene in each case. You will find an example of this presented on a
separate page:
