Who we
are
D@dalos
is
implementing a regional program in the area of education for democratic
citizenship in Southeast Europe since many years. The program consists
in an abundant multilingual information resource on the Internet (www.dadalos.org)
and a range of training events for teachers, NGO activists and workers,
journalists and citizens for democracy learning.
What
we offer
From September till November 2006, we offer a distance
learning course in German language.
Main aims are to deal with the topics of democracy, political parties
and European Union as well as to get acquainted with tasks, contents and
methods of education for democratic citizenship (EDC). In addition to
that, cross-cutting key qualifications such as presentation skills and
basics of professional project planning and management are taught.
Participants acquire basic knowledge and skills in the field of EDC and
learn how to teach politics in formal and non-formal education. Thereby
they take part in developing a democratic political culture in
Southeast-Europe.
A detailed report in German language on the course in 2005 is available
here:

held by Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Schumann (University of Tuebingen/Germany),

and Ingrid Halbritter (project director and trainer with D@dalos
