What is the EDC Market?
  • In the past years, countless projects, training, workshops and seminars have been carried out and manuals or other publications have been produced in the field of Education for Democratic Citizenship in South East Europe. All this and the enormous expertise that is related, is a huge potential from which the entire region can benefit.
  • This EDC Market is a first step for systematically making available this information to a wider public and to allow exchange of good practice. The idea behind is to provide key information on the Internet as a precondition for further direct contact and co-operation between single providers of EDC.

What is a project that will be classified as good practice?

  • The project (event, publication, project...) has to fit within the area of Education for Democratic Citizenship (EDC) in a larger sense. Its overarching aim must be to strengthen active, democratic citizenship.

  • As a second criterion, it has to provide a benefit to other EDC practitioners what so ever. This can be an idea, a concept or an approach or a particular method. It can be advice or experience gathered by someone, training provided or seminars delivered upon request. It can also be a publication that can be made available to interested stakeholders or information on useful web-sites.

You are welcome to suggest a project. If you want further information, please contact the project manager Ingrid Halbritter.
